Bored with giving socks & bottles of wine for Christmas? At the Cookery Studio we are running a fun workshop full of festive anticipation as we prepare for Christmas! With recipes from around Europe as well as some firm favourites - from sweet delights, to spicy festive relishes - what better way of indulging yourself than to set aside a day to the comforts, aromas and tastes of seasonal baking? Join us to prepare freshly baked goodies as you learn to create your own Christmas bakes, wrapped and packed in a hamper, to share with family & friends.

  • Eggnog Shots - a revived British classic / Spiced Mulling Syrup
  • Cranberry and Green Apple Relish / Spiced Pickled Pears - to serve with hams and cheeses
  • Pork Rillettes / Pork & Apple Puff Bake (frozen ahead for the festive season)  
  • Brandy Snaps / Tortas de Almendras - a sweet Spanish Almond, Aniseed and Orange-blossom Wafer  /Panforte - a traditional Italian confection of fruits, nuts and honey
  • Chocolate Peppermint Bark - a great 'last minute' gift for friends
  • Wrapped and packed

We invite you to join us at 9.30 am for coffee when you will meet other course members and your chef. We will explain how the day will run before you move through to our purpose designed kitchen, surrounded by the beautiful Oast gardens. With small classes of around 8 people, the step-by-step tuition, demonstration and 'hands on' practical cooking is fun and easy to follow as you are supported by the Cookery Studio team.

A light lunch will be provided and you will be able to take home the 'bakes' you have made to help you get ahead for the festive season. You will receive a recipe booklet to take away with you so that you can make more delicious goodies for your friends.
