By making sweet pastries from scratch and creating a stunning selection of sweet classics, the Cookery Studio will teach you how to wow your friends and family with your own creations to match the delectable treats you see in a P√Ętisserie shop window ... delectably delicious and inspiring.

Through a mixture of demonstration and plenty of 'hands on' cooking, you will be guided through this baking class which will focus on the more advanced key skills to create the beautiful and tempting patisserie selection which we love so much. You will discover the skills of preparing sweet pastries, fillings, and petits fours - learning to decorate artfully.

 You will:

  • Prepare and bake a classic tart such as a Tarte Fine au Citron or a Chocolate & Raspberry Tart using a base of pâte sucree
  • Create a choux sensation by baking the time-honoured classic eclair or profiteroles layered with a creme chantilly / patissiere and chocolate
  • Discover the ease of preparing a chocolate ganache which can act as a base for so many flavours and sweet fillings
  • Learn how to prepare, pipe and present a small selection of petits fours 

This promises to be a fun & rewarding cookery course. You will have plenty to take home with you - along with a recipe booklet - so that you can continue to enjoy your cakes and pastries whenever you feel like being creative.

We invite you to join us at 9.30am for coffee where you will meet other course members and your chef. We will talk you through the class menu and how the day will run before you move through to our purpose designed kitchen, surrounded by the beautiful Oast gardens. With small classes of around 8 people, the step-by-step tuition is fun and easy to follow as you are supported by the Cookery Studio team.
