Ever thought of surprising your partner with an intimate dinner or treating your family and friends to a gastro meal? We want to show you how easy it is to prepare fantastic and tasty food in your own kitchen! Suitable for beginners and those wishing to develop their cooking repertoire, this day course is aimed at those men who want to develop key skills, and feel more confident and become inspired when cooking.. We can offer consecutive courses throughout the year, to provide the building blocks for an extensive repertoire of impressive & tasty dishes. Contact us if you would like to cook with others.

You will:

  • Discover that the quality of ingredients and the intensity of food flavours - when blended with a precision of skills - create robust, good-looking dishes that people can’t wait to eat. 
  • Learn cooking methods from flash-frying, to searing, slow braising & baking.
  • Learn how to prepare fish, meat, vegetables and fruits, not forgetting to round off your meal with a sweet & tasty dessert.  

A typical 3-course menu from one of our classes might be:

  • Lightly spiced Roasted Red Pepper, Tomato & Chilli Soup
  • Fresh baked Honey & Oat Soda Bread
  • Chicken in Cider topped with Herby Crushed Potatoes
  • Bread & Butter Pudding with a tangy Marmalade Sauce

We invite you to join us at 9.30am for coffee where you will meet other course members and your chef. We will talk you through the class menu and how the day will run before you move through to our purpose designed kitchen, surrounded by the beautiful Oast gardens. With small classes of around 8 people, the step-by-step tuition is fun and easy to follow as you are supported by the Cookery Studio team. At the end of cooking you will be able to dine - with a glass of wine - and enjoy the dishes you have prepared. You will receive a recipe booklet to take away with you. Please note that the dishes listed may vary due to the availability of fresh produce as a result of seasonal changes.
