Are you are a lover of Mediterranean food, flavour, colour and tasty dishes full of vibrancy and sunshine? If so, this Spanish Tapas day class is for you. We shall be exploring a range of appetising small dishes that exude flavour in abundance, are sophisticated and comforting at the same time and simple both to prepare and cook...

7The class is 'hands on' and will be supported by demonstrations to clarify details as you create a range of individual tapas dishes. Our sample menu

  • Monkfish Albondigas
  • Gambas Ajillo - Sizzling prawns with deep fried garlic, chilli & parsley 
  • Garlic fried Padron Peppers in olive oil
  • Pomegranate and Fennel Salad
  • Higaditos de Pollo al Jerez - Chicken Livers in Sherry
  • Gabanzos con Chorizo - Chorizo & Chickpeas with red wine
  • Crema Catalana
  • Churros with Chocolate Chilli Dipping Sauce

On this Tapas class the techniques used will include:

  • the preparation & cooking of fish & shellfish
  • cooking methods such as baking, slow-cooking, shallow and deep frying
  • blending flavours and textures of ingredients such as chorizo, hams, peppers, herbs & spices

This promises to be a creative day where you will enjoy a 'grazing lunch' - with a complimentary glass of wine and lots of ideas & a recipe pack to take home with you. 

Please note that children aged 12 to 16 are welcome to attend and participate in any of our classes at the full cost of a place, but they MUST be accompanied by one paying adult.

We invite you to join us at 9.30am for coffee where you will meet other class members and your chef. We will talk you through the class menu and how the day will run before you move through to our purpose designed kitchen, surrounded by the beautiful Oast gardens. With small classes of around 8 people, the step-by-step tuition is fun and easy to follow as you are supported by the Cookery Studio team. Please note that the dishes listed may vary due to the availability of fresh produce as a result of seasonal changes.
