There’s nothing quite like gathering family or friends and enjoying a piece of home-cooked roast, is there? But, do you feel challenged by the task of having all the elements of your Sunday Roast ready at the right time? Do you find the traditional Sunday Roast menus monotonous? On this one-day cooking class you will learn techniques and tips to overcome this challenge - and we will inspire you with new recipes and ideas for your Sunday lunch on this one-day class 'Sunday Roast - with a Twist'.

 In this cooking class, you will enjoy a day whipping up an alternative Sunday roast and you will see how easy it is to make such a delicious meal.

On 'Sunday Roasts with a Twist', both as a group and individually, you will learn how to:

  • Gain inspiration for your Sunday Lunch, with forward planning in mind!
  • Develop knife skills and cooking techniques to help you 'prepare ahead'
  • Discover the key principles and art of baking & roasting methods whilst developing fulsome flavours
  • Present and enjoy a three course meal, served with flair  

Sample Menu:

  • Celeriac and Parsnip Soup with Parmesan Croutons / Smoked Trout & Horseradish cream pate
  • Butterflied Leg of Lamb with Jus and a Caper & Anchovy Relish / Crispy Roast, stuffed, Lemon Chicken with Herb Gravy
  • Roasted / Hasselback Potatoes
  • Roasted Butternut Squash / Honey Glazed Root Vegetables
  • Sticky Ginger Toffee & Nut Pudding with Caramel Sauce

 This promises to be a creative and fun day during which you will enjoy a deliicious Sunday lunch - with a complimentary glass of wine, recipes and lots of ideas to take home with you as well as some tasty bites. 

We invite you to join us at 9.30am for coffee when you will meet other course members and your chef. We will talk you through the class menu and how the day will run before you move through to our purpose designed kitchen, surrounded by the beautiful Oast gardens. With small classes of around 8 people, the step-by-step tuition is fun and easy to follow as you are supported by the Cookery Studio team.
